House on Louviers Pictures
In February of 2006, I bought a plot of land on a street called Louviers in Brossard. Almost a year later, construction on my first custom-built house is starting. In fact, I'm writing this the day before we break ground.
This site should provide a relatively simple way to view pictures of the construction as it progresses. I've already taken some pictures of the land itself, and I intend to take a LOT of pictures as the house goes up.
We will be doing some of the work on the house ourselves and I might get carried away and focus on those aspects a lot... :) We are installing a pretty fancy Crestron-controlled Home Automation system at the house and all the wiring, system design, programming and implementation will be done by yours truly with lots of help from my awesome bro Dom and whoever else volunteers -- it won't be easy.
We are also going to building the basement ourselves and we haven't figured out yet if it will be while the contractor is building the rest of the house or at a later date. Depends when the money runs out...
