The PS2 in the glovebox
Here's a shot of the controller I chose. It's the Mad Catz Microcon wireless. It's small and doesn't vibrate, but it works fine.
The controller fits perfectly into the top push open cubby hole in the center console. Neat!
Here's a shot of the whole glovebox. The PS2 slim fits inside perfectly but there's not much room for connectors and memory cards sticking out the front.
I modified the wireless transceiver by extending the contacts using a CAT5 cable. This way the glovebox can be closed and you can still play.
This is what it looks like when the modified transceiver is plugged into the PS2 slim.
Here's a nice fuzzy closeup of the wires coming out of the transceiver. It's really not a hard soldering job at all.
